Fun Folks.

One of the things I'm most amazed at is the number of people I've met, both friendly, and not-so-friendly.  As far as I can see, the best way to treat others, nice or not, is the way you want to be treated.  Enemies might even become your friends that way.

Why Lucy Pevensie and Super Mario Would be Great Friends.

I hadn't thought about this, but when you think about it, there are definitely some similarities in these adventures.  I wish I could visit Narnia...maybe Lucy would like to see Yoshi Island.

Daring Dodgers.

I love Dodgeball.  It's sort of an unusual premise, though.  After all, it's not common to throw things at people for no reason other than that it's in the rules.  Luigi wasn't hurt- it just kinda looks like it.

Close-up Call.

This is not a selfie.  I was waiting for Mario to come back from a snack shop so we could explore this intergalactic park and someone (who I don't know) zoomed this close into my face with her camera, snapped a photo before I knew what was happening, and then emailed me this picture a week later (how she knew my email address I will never know).  I must have been feeling pretty inquisitive that day.  I suppose you would too if you were on a foreign planet, which makes me wonder...how did she get there?

Golfing Gaffes.

This picture was taken on a really sunny day.  Koopa Troopa and I were playing golf against Wario and Waluigi (even though you can't see them here) and, well, they were sort of taking a while.  Donkey and Diddy Kong found the two of us like this about two hours later, so we didn't win that game.  But at least I made par for the holes I did play!

Great Grip.

This is from one of the space travels Mario and I have ventured on.  I've always wondered how Mario keeps his seat when we're jumping and bouncing and flying all over the place.  He must have strong legs.  That's probably how he jumps so high.

Seed Spitter.

I know there's no real way to justify my behavior here.  It's a bad habit I learned in middle school.  I'm getting better.

Decked-out Dino.

I honestly think Mario Party 2 was the best one, because I loved wearing a cowboy hat.  I did get to keep it, but I haven't been allowed to wear it in any games since.

Frozen Fallout.

So...now you know why I'm not into karaoke.  I'm sure Elsa didn't mean anything.

Hocus Focus.

If there's one thing I've learned about carrying children, it's that you really have to multitask while doing it.  Just in case you're wondering, no, he didn't fall.

Flying Monkeys?

So...yeah.  Apparently Thor doesn't get monkeys.  I spent an hour explaining this one, and he still didn't get it.

Awkward Associates.

Just because Mario and I've rescued the princess so many times doesn't mean there haven't been some awkward moments along the way, but when those come, we both just keep on pushing forward.  Even if someone laughs at us, we have a greater goal, right?

This had the potential to be a really bad day.  I had just won a mini-game but didn't see the Chain Chomp who'd watched me the whole time.  However, all he wanted was a bone, and I had one of those, so, thankfully, a disaster was averted.

Baby Pictures.

This early portrait of me and my relatives gives a small look into the depth of our attention spans, namely, nil.  Nonetheless, there's no denying we were cute kids.

This one goes out to all the dads out there.  Thank you so much for all you do.  It means more to us than you know.

Volleyball Beach.

I love volleyball.  My friends and I are pretty good at it.  The only thing I worry about is hitting the sand to hard (or taking one of DK's spike shots in the nose).

Drawing Doodles.

I was supposed to color in that mushroom.  However, to be honest, coloring pages have never been my strong suit.  Creativity is good inside or outside the lines.

Cake Capers.

This was a portrait taken right before we finished frosting, or at least trying to frost, a cake.  We hoped to present it to Toad on his birthday.  As you can tell, it didn't quite work out.  The baking went fine, but then...well, you can see the rest. 

(By the way, we did eventually get Toad a birthday cake.  Just not that one.  Few people want to eat a cake that someone fell into.)

Friendly Flashback.

We've been through a lot over the years, and apparently we've changed quite a bit too, but one thing's for sure: Mario and I are best friends till the end.  Come to think of it, that's a pretty long time.  Cool!

"If you fall, let me know- I'll catch you!"  Sound familiar?  It's a common theme in my life, but don't get me wrong.  I love every minute of it.

We were practicing for the Winter Olympics in Canada when this shot was taken.  After some consideration, Luigi and DK both decided they'd try for snowboarding instead.

Graduate Shout-out!

I remember the feeling I had when I threw my cap into the air.  Frankly, I was relieved, because the silly thing hadn't fit all that well.  Little did I know that I would be helping plumbers rescue princesses before the year was up.

When this picture was taken, we were attempting to follow Donkey Kong through the jungle to his private banana stash.  Evidently vine-swinging is much harder than it looks.

Obviously I have a lot of relatives, but this is only one of our many family photos.  As you can see, the photographer didn't ask if we were ready first.

Don't get me wrong.  I don't blame them, since they'd never seen a Yoshi egg before.  But let's be honest.  Introductions can be a little clumsy.  Thank goodness that there's more to us than first impressions.  :)

You know, for all those coins I win at Mario Parties you'd think I'd live in something besides a hut.  I guess that's just my taste.

Birthday Blessed.

This one's from my last birthday in November.  Mario bought me a box of cookies, which pretty much made my month.  I did share with my friends, including Mario, by the way.  The best blessings are shared.

This is one of my favorite memories.  Thanks to the Bulb Berries lying around we made it safe and sound back home.
