This picture, strange as it seems, is from an adventure I haven't had yet.  Not sure where I got it.  Guess I'll find out in 2015! Happy New Year in 3...2...1...

Show Me the Money?

Ever watched Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, or some other show like that?  I've always wondered why we watch other people try to win money on TV.  I do it, in fact, I've been on some game shows, but I still think it's a bit strange that we watch them.

Hold Still? Right...

Ever been in a classroom, or at the doctor's office, or anywhere else you were told to hold as still as possible?  That always makes me start shaking uncontrollably.  This picture, besides encapsulating that awkward feeling, was taken when I was getting a check-up for several athletic competitions.  You know what I mean, right?

Princess Gamer.

This picture was taken to promote some game we planned a while back.  Apparently, Peach had never played a GameBoy before.  The look on her face is the funniest thing in this photo (although Bowser's tickling Toad is a close second).  She just kept saying "My, my, my!"  I don't know what exactly had her so stunned.  Maybe she was playing a Zelda game or something.

Happy and You Know It.

Ever just been feeling spectacular without having a clue why you felt that way?  Mario asked me what made me feel so good after taking this picture.  I said "I don't know, but life is awesome."

Pizza Problem.

Did I ever tell you about the time Toad and I tried to be pizza delivery boys?  Yeah, I didn't think so.  It was probably on purpose.  Apparently it's just not our thing, or thereabouts.

Merry Go WHAT?!?

Kind of sums up my reaction to that postcard Mario showed me of a ride at Pinna Park.  It's called a Yoshi-Go-Round, which seems to me to be stating the obvious.  Yeah, don't see myself riding that ever.

Enter Winter.

Now that the winter season has officially begun, I can't wait to go skiing, snowboarding, and basically any other winter sport you can think of.  I do have to wait, though.  This picture is from last year, because I never use December snow.  I always wait until January.

Back to Basic.

You know what I mean.  Coming back to your home just fills you with a warmth hard to find anywhere else.

I dug this photo out from beneath one of my old dressers.  It's another one of those strange "Someone's talking but you can read what they're saying" pics.  Anyways, Luigi and I were working to rescue Mario (which doesn't happen very often) and we had to go to all sorts of  locations to do so.  I kind of prefer the local scene, but Nairobi wasn't too bad.


By the way, you probably read that last line in that coach's voice, huh?

Knew Who?

I don't know if you've ever done this, but when I do, it's the guiltiest feeling ever.  I sit there and wonder if the person noticed and if I hurt their feelings and what I should do and blah, blah, blah.  Just avoid this whenever you can.

Wait...It Actually Worked?!

Sorry this picture looks so different.  I couldn't get to my render device, so I had to use something else.  Ever had that day where you tried something over and over again and just couldn't do it?  Then you were like, "Well, one more time" and then BOOM it worked.  I love those.  Incidentally, kudos to anyone who can explain to me why two pictures of me are in this same photo...

Perspective Respective.

I wanted to know what other people see when riding my back, so I asked Mario to take some pictures.  I'm kind of surprised, frankly.  I didn't think the world looked so pixelated from up there.  On the other hand, maybe it was just where we were traveling.

What's So Funny?

This picture was taken during one of our first anti-gravity races.  Wario is laughing really hard for a reason that still nobody knows.  Myself, Luigi, and Bowser all asked after the race, but he didn't hear us, I guess, because he didn't answer.

Ping-Pong Pow.

I like playing games.  I also like winning whenever possible, but I didn't know I looked like this.  Kind of a weird shot of the back of Tails' head, but, not as strange as my expression.

Okay, so the second picture is actually a self-portrait of a younger me, but the point remains the same.  I love those days when after a long adventure I get to return back home.

Yes.  Mario watches BBC.  A lot.  I think he's building a scale model of the TARDIS.  At least, I think it's a model.  He hasn't told me otherwise...  Okay, now I need to call Luigi.

Imitation Yoshi.

A while back I discovered that I could put on Mario's hat and look just like him.  That helped in one of our adventures, but I did feel kind of silly (since no one knew it was me).  I think maybe his attempt to resemble me also went a little too far.  Thankfully, he's never worn that suit anywhere except in this picture we did together, because it doesn't give him any superpowers (that's my egg, and it's just sitting there).  It is good for a laugh, but not much else, except, maybe, trick-or-treating, or that one time he gave Peach one of the biggest surprises of her life (more on that some other time). I guess it's pretty simple.  One is made to be who he or she is.  There's really no need to try and makeover yourself (although make believe is certainly fun), because you're special just being you!

Seriously, is there anything more fun than making it look like you drove through the sky when you actually just lined up with your friends in your old karts?  I love Photoshop...I suppose it doesn't really belong in my scrapbook, though.

Don't Blow It!

Whenever I've hosted a surprise birthday party for someone I've always found that the hardest choice to make was what balloons would be used in the decorations.  It was a struggle because balloons do so much to light up a room that I just couldn't bear the idea of picking the wrong one.  I must have driven everyone in Party City crazy with all my "hm" and "huh" and "hrm".  Thankfully, I think I made a good choice, eventually.

Incomprehensible Imagery.

I'm not saying that I just discovered my tail.  What I mean is that photographs like this are just difficult to translate.  Am I saying it's time to go, looking over my shoulder, or did someone call and I'm turning my head to respond?  Also, why does my neck look so twisted?  Looking at that just hurts.  Photography is a strange art.  You win some and you lose some.

Anti-Angst.

Worry isn't worthwhile.  Just because you have things to do doesn't mean you should spend time freaking out about them.  Anxieties aren't worth stewing over.  Life's too wonderful to be used for nervous wonderings.  Take me advice and turn your back on anxiety.

Lasso Woes.

Okay, so I didn't take this picture or add the caption.  Someone else (ahem, Luigi) gave me this as a memento from one of our more recent Mario Parties.  Of course, the rules say I can't use anything but a lasso.  Otherwise my tongue would have been great for this game.

Shop Not a Lot.

I'm not a Black Friday shopper.  I prefer to stay at home and relax, or shop online for Christmas gifts.  I think it's just easier that way, and generally involves less weightlifting.

This doesn't even come close to showing all of my friends, but this picture was taken so close to Thanksgiving of 1991 that I just had to use it.  Indeed, in the midst of all the partying and feasting today, take a moment to remember that you really are blessed.  Not lucky, blessed, and that's simply because Someone loves you, the same Someone we celebrate Christmas for.  More on that later.  Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
