Check Out My New Project!
Hi! Thanks for checking out Yoshi's Stories. If you're new here, this blog is a finished project, but please feel free to look around! If, on the other hand, you've been here before, thanks for coming back! I've started something new, and I would love for you to check it out!

Lasso Woes.
Okay, so I didn't take this picture or add the caption. Someone else (ahem, Luigi) gave me this as a memento from one of our more recent Mario Parties. Of course, the rules say I can't use anything but a lasso. Otherwise my tongue would have been great for this game.

Shop Not a Lot.
I'm not a Black Friday shopper. I prefer to stay at home and relax, or shop online for Christmas gifts. I think it's just easier that way, and generally involves less weightlifting.

Sticky Pic.
This was one of those awkward pictures where someone hit "click" just as I was trying to get to something off-screen. I'll leave it there.

Happy Thanksgiving!
This doesn't even come close to showing all of my friends, but this picture was taken so close to Thanksgiving of 1991 that I just had to use it. Indeed, in the midst of all the partying and feasting today, take a moment to remember that you really are blessed. Not lucky, blessed, and that's simply because Someone loves you, the same Someone we celebrate Christmas for. More on that later. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. By the way, you haven't met her before, but today's my Mom's birthday. Wish her a happy one, will you please?

Fearful Flower.
Seriously. I'm so glad these don't grow in my garden anymore. I only saw them a couple of times, and tried to avoid them whenever I could. Now they're gone for good...I hope.

Who, Me?
Honestly, it's hard to even believe that this is me. Every time I look at pictures from the 90s I'm blown away by how much it seems I've changed. It's not like I'm the only one:
Daisy:
Luigi:
Mario:
Peach:
The list goes on and on. I guess it's just a reminder to be glad of the day you have while looking forward to what's ahead!

How to Present?
This is one of my favorite pictures because it was so well-timed. Mario also has one of those genuine smiles, and even the crab looks happy. I guess that's why the caption I added didn't improve on it much.

On Track.
This picture was taken during one of our races through Shy Guy falls. I'd met Link before, but was a little surprised to see him at the track, since our paths don't cross that often. Anyways, obviously he was focused, and obviously I was not.

Yoshi's Apple.
I bought my first iPod a few years ago. Turns out touch screens don't get along too well with my fingers (I only have four and I'm a reptile), so I switched to a click wheel model. Of course, I don't know what to do now when this one breaks...

Sink or Swim- Diving In.
Ever felt like you just stepped off the brink into a crazy decision, just because you thought you should? Jumps like those can really freak me out, but I've learned over time that they often have the most beautiful, if unexpected, conclusions.

Storytimes.
I love this picture. That was one of my favorite storybooks too. I read it a lot when I was much younger, so that chapter is closed, but if anything it reminds me that each day is a gift. Not to sound cliché, but that's why they call in the present. What will you do with the one you've been given?

Pose Goes.
I'm not trying to harp on the subject of photography, but really? We actually planned this picture for after one of our biggest races. We had decided where everyone would stand, what pose to take, the whole thing...and then, Wario and Waluigi. I've done the same thing, so I'm not angry with them. Still, I don't understand why taking a perfect picture seems so impossible!

Big and Important
This picture of Luigi and I after a Mario Party makes me blush, partially, because I have others like it, and partially because it just exists. Luigi and I made a great team, but it seems incongruous to celebrate victory by saying how awesome we are. Could probably afford to be a little less pretentious, huh?

Snow Day.
Snowflake catching competitions on Yoshi's Island are loads of fun. This one is from a few years back. After this one the Yoshis all started inviting everyone we knew, and it's been a blast. For some reason, though, the natives always seem to win (although Donkey Kong once got third).

Balloonatic.
This picture of Baby Mario and I kind of confuses me because I can't tell by the picture whether there's bottomless pit or just a giant balloon machine below us. I could ask him, but he's kind of limited in vocabulary.
By the way, I just released a video of my friends and I on my YouTube channel! Check it out!

Vocal Efficiency.
Don't get me wrong. It's not like I'm obsessed with my own name. I just speak a highly efficient tongue. If you wanted to, you could write a whole book on a napkin.

Picture Imperfect.
Seriously. Why is it so hard to take a good picture? It seems like so many are too blurry or low-resolution or just plain terrible. I guess that's why we take so many, for the few good ones.

Donkey Kong's Short Bio.
It is on like Donkey Kong! At least, today's post is, because I asked him to share some pictures! Here's what he gave me:
So there we go. Donkey Kong may not be rescuing any princesses, but he leads an eventful life. Now I need to see if I can get Bowser's pics...(gulp).

Backup Brothers.
I wish this picture had been taken with something besides Peach's phone, but it was all we had at the time. I don't get to see Tails very often, except at the Olympics, which is really too bad. He seems like a nice kid, and I think we have a couple things in common, even if we do a lot of things differently.

Space Unavailable.
I guess this isn't actually unique to the Mushroom Kingdom, but I think it's safe to say that this picture didn't give everyone quite enough room (especially when Bowser crashed the party as he has a tendency to do). We must have had a good time, though, because Daisy and Waluigi kept coming back afterwards.

You Decide.
If you play any games on the Internet ever, you know how hard this gets. I can never decide if I want my username to be Yoshi, or T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas, which is my real name (and less common on leaderboards).

Not As It Seems.
This memory, helped by Watson and Holmes, should dispel any myths about Mario selfishly leaving me to my doom.

Up next.
It's hard to believe that this picture was taken nine years ago on a cruise ship that Toadsworth invited us all on. That was perhaps one of our most exotic adventures. We went all sorts of places we'd never seen before. Of course, Bowser did try to make things hard, but that didn't stop us from both competing and collaborating to have one of the best travel adventures of our lives.

Wheel Deal.
Is there anything more nerve racking than having to spin a wheel for a prize? One second you're hopeful and then the next you think you've lost and then you're hopeful again and then you think you've lost again...oh my goodness. Spinning these can be a hazard to your mental health!
